Nexium

Nexium is used to treat frequent heartburn. It belongs to a class of medications called proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). GERD occurs when stomach acid travels up into your esophagus. PPIs treat GERD by blocking acid from passing through the esophagus. These medications also relieve frequent heartburn.
